BRAND

Impression created in people’s minds, associated with a product or a service with certain qualities or characteristics that make it special or unique.

What is personal branding?

* Your image

* What people think of you

* The way you market yourself to the world

Personal branding ~ image :
external and internal brand

* External brand → how you project yourself to the world

Here you have : element of choice → will influence what others think of you → how they

choose to interact with you

* Internal brand → what you think of yourself

Personal brand is…..

* Unavoidable → people will always make assumptions on you-whether you like it or not.

* Outside your control ( in some ways ) → It’s the way you are-you can’t become someone else

* In your own → belongs to you forever-no body can take it away from you

What it is supposed to be?

* Cared

* Genuine / un artificial → be yourself

* Fully aware

The importance of personal brand :

v Brand is the competitive edge which cannot be duplicated by someone else → the uniqueness of you

v Brand carries personality → It reflects what kind of persons you really are

v Brand is the gate to all opportunities

How to build your personal brand

* Discover your brand first, never too late to start → you’re more comfortable in your own shoes

* Think that all people are unique → you are special

* Watch. Learn. Do your own thing

* Be honest to yourself → try to accept both the goodness and the weakness of you

* Always be yourself → never pretend to be someone else

* Try to match your external and internal brand → make it equal

What we should do to explore
our personal brand more?

Let’s start by doing these simple things :

ü Find 3 to 5 adjectives best describe your personality honestly

ü You can take a sheet of paper then write this down : I am…,….,…,….

ü Ask your friends to describe what kind of person you are

ü You can make a questionnaire about yourself and deliver it to your friend, ask them to tell what they think about you honestly.

  2. Commit → to every promise
  3. Confidence ≠ arrogance → to the forward
  4. Consistence →what you say, what you do
  5. Competence → separates amateur and professional

CONCLUSION

* Personal brand will endure, stay on you all the time

* Once you’ve been caught in people minds, it’s never easy to change.

* Being honest – in what you say, what you do - is the best policy
